Join as we celebrate R Beginnings. From R Opening in 1960 to R affiliation with the Seattle Mariners. Throwback weekend is about celebrating R rich history and proud partnerships.

SATURDAY, APRIL 22nd

For the second time in his short life, Slammin’ Sam, the South Sound Salmon will return to Throwback Weekend, as we again re-imagine the idea of the Rainiers in 1960. Throwback Saturday will celebrate the rich history of Cheney Stadium with players wearing specialty jersey’s featuring our favorite finned friend. The first 1000 fans in the gates will receive specialty give-aways. No jersey auction will take place on Saturday.

SUNDAY, APRIL 23rd

On Sunday, we take a trip back to the 90’s and the beginning of our nearly 30 year affiliation with the Seattle Mariners. Players worn, specialty jerseys will be sold via auction in the concourse and the first 1000 fans in the gates will receive a 90’s Throwback Cap.
