The Rainiers long road trip got off to a solid start, with a 7-3 victory over the East Division leading Oklahoma City Dodgers. Oklahoma City had a game shaved off its lead – second place Round Rock won and is one game back, and third place El Paso also won to pull within 2.5 games.
As for Tacoma, the team reached eight games under .500 once again. That’s been a tough barrier to overcome recently – every time the team gets to eight games under, a loss has come in the next outing. Let’s see if that changes today – there is still time (20 games remaining) for the club to get close to .500.
Apologies for the brief post – these early games start early! I think Yogi said that.
