The sun is back, Tacoma. It’s hard to sit inside when that South Sound sun shines bright, so we hope you’re getting some time in the yard or are taking some socially distanced strolls. We can’t help but think it would be nice to share a drink with a few hundred friends up in R Bar right now, so we’re providing you with a splash of summer: the recipes for Cheney Stadium’s favorite Fast Track Friday beverages. Pair them with visions of baseball and soccer hovering over your glass.

Celebrate Fast Track Friday, at home for now.
These adult refreshments (perfect for fans 21+) also go well with board games, video games, and your favorite sports films, but they pretty much go with any activity that leaves a free hand for a cold glass. As always, drink responsibly.
Old Mexico
Part France, Part Mexico and a whole lot of thirst-quenching bright flavors to cool you off on a hot afternoon or evening. It pairs perfectly with a replay of your favorite Defiance action.

- .75 oz lime juice
- .75 oz simple syrup

- Top with Champagne
- Garnish with mint leaf
Porch Swing
What’s more relaxing than a swing on a porch, a pooch at your feet, and a tall glass of ice tea? All of that with some Woodford Reserve.
Ingredients
- 5 oz Woodford Reserve
- .75 oz lemon juice
- .5 oz honey
- 6 oz Iced tea (or peach iced tea for a southern twist)
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in an ice filled glass and stir
- Garnish with lemon wedge
Stoli Cucumber Mojito
Break up the tension of a life in quarantine with the refreshing mix of mint, lime, and cucumber.
Ingredients
- 5 oz of Stoli Cucumber Vodka
- .5 oz of simple syrup
- 5-7 sprigs of mint
- 2-3 lime wedges
- Topped with club soda
Instructions
- Add mint, lime and simple syrup to glass/shaker and muddle (if you don’t have a muddler, the handle end of a wooden spoon is perfect). You don’t want to over muddle- so only 5-6 times.
- Add Stoli Cucumber Vodka and shake (if you don’t have a cocktail shaker, pouring the liquid between 2 pint glasses will work)
- Fill glass with ice
- Add vodka mixture
- Top with club soda
- Garnish with a mint sprig (to express the oils, ‘spank’ the mint between your hands once or twice)
Stoli Blueberry Lemonade
This sweet, summery refreshment has a kid-friendly option. Hold the Stoli Blueberri in the first serving for those in the house who don’t imbibe, and add to the second serving for those who do.
Ingredients
- 5 oz Stoli Blueberri Vodka
- Lemonade
- 5-7 blueberries (optional)
- Lemon wedge
Instructions
- Add blueberries to a pint glass with Stoli Blueberri and muddle (if you don’t have a muddler, the handle end of a wooden spoon is perfect)
- Fill glass with ice
- Add vodka mixture
- Top with lemonade
- Garnish with fresh lemon wedge
Jerry’s Tailgate Punch
A refreshing punch to pair with your favorite backyard game or memory of a foul ball caught at the Fire Place.
Ingredients
- 5 oz Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
- 2 oz Watermelon juice (we also made this with pineapple juice and it was quite tasty)
- 2 oz Lemonade
- Topped with a light lager – we recommend Coors Light
Instructions
- Pour Sailor Jerry and juices into an ice filled cup
- Top with beer
- Gently stir with spoon, if needed
Little Bit Bittah!
Take the edge off with bitter flavors and let the mind wander over the mix of citrus and floral.
Ingredients
- 2 oz. Reyka Vodka
- 5 oz Grapefruit juice
- .5 oz Grenadine
- .5 oz Campari
Instructions
- Pour all ingredients into a shaker (if you don’t have a cocktail shaker, pour liquid between 2 pint glasses)
- Fill glass with ice
- Pour ingredients into glass
We’ll raise a glass together again soon, Tacoma. Until then, we hope these at-home cocktails will, if only slightly, tide over your appetite for a warm summer day with an ice cold one at R House. As always, drink responsibly.
